Two entrepreneurs bring an award-winning concept to IND Inspired by nostalgic evenings spent with their grandfather, twin sisters Mandy and Carly adapted his traditional stove-top method for popping corn to modern standards and began developing irrestible recipes. Their creations include ten decadent, truffle-inspired flavors of light, white, milk, and dark chocolate popcorns to zesty flavors like hot wing + sharp cheddar ranch. Opening their first shop in Indianapolis' Broad Ripple Village in 2003, these two entrepreneurs take a small batch approach to ensuring crisp, crunchy freshness for their treats. Their lines of sweet and savory popcorn, almond, and pecan goodies are grouped in fun collections with playful, trendy packaging. With names like "Spice of Life," each collection expresses their personal philosophies on the importance of happiness, kindness, and positive attitudes. Based on their success in launching this unique local concept, Just Pop In! was chosen as part of IND's select mix of concessionaires to operate at the new airport when it opened in 2008.
Last year, the company earned first place in the 2009 Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) Concessions Conference for "Best New Retail Concept." Next time you visit the airport, be sure to Just Pop In! You'll be glad you did. |
