Hundreds turn out for IAA's public auction

On Aug. 14, a crowd of more than 500, including representatives from many local media outlets, showed up at the Maintenance and Operations Building at 2000 S. Banner Ave. for the IAA 's public auction. Bidders scrutinized a wide variety of interesting items, which ranged from emergency vehicles, shuttle buses, and snow-removal equipment to an assortment of fascinating - and sometimes bewildering - unclaimed lost-and-found items. Stay tuned for announcements about future public auctions at the IAA. Gross sales, which help support the IAA's general fund, exceeded $200,000.
